Applications are invited for the Chair of Italian.
The successful applicant will possess an international reputation for excellence in research and publication in any area of cultural, visual and/or literary studies, and particularly in the area of collaborative research. A record of achievement in the award of research funding will be expected. S/he will also have demonstrated innovative and successful teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, be an effective team-player, and provide leadership in the making of strategic initiatives for both the Department and the School of Modern Languages and Cultures.
S/he will be expected to represent the Department and School interest internally and externally. The creation of a new Lectureship in Italian at Grade B, shortly to be advertised, may be linked with the professorial appointment.
